The Project

It's about giving something back

What is CA.PA?

CA.PA is a nonprofit organization founded in January 2019, initially established as a project to generate funds through art events held in Oslo, Norway. The organization’s primary goal is to create opportunities and provide a platform for artistic expression within a marginalized community in Calapacuan, Subic Bay, Philippines.

We have collaboration with Nordic Black Theatre, SALT, and Dana Jdid and successfully raised 50,000 NOK, which was donated to 15 selected students, supporting their education (Read more about the event on "Events" page) Additionally, the organization hosted dance workshops, local showcases, and distributed free food, drinks, and CA.PA merchandise to the community.

The name CA.PA refers to the street where the village is located. As a charitable initiative, CA.PA is dedicated to sharing creativity and urban culture, fostering artistic development, and creating sustainable opportunities for youth and families in the muslim area.

Where is CA.PA now?

Our ongoing commitment is to promote artistic expression within the community with the aim of sharing knowledge and diverse artistic experiences, while establishing a safe and supportive environment for youth. We seek to empower future generations by supporting their educational pursuits and providing opportunities for creative development. Additionally, we are dedicated to encouraging young people to pursue art as a positive alternative to drugs and violence, which are prevalent challenges in underserved areas of the Philippines.

Furthermore, funds and resources allocated to CA.PA are directed toward supporting local families in the community, ensuring they receive the necessary supplies and assistance to improve their quality of life.
